THE VIEWS AND OPINIONS EXPRESSED ARE THOSE OF AZRIEL MORDECAI, NOT OF NATHAN ANGELL, CARMEN GIOCONDO, or ZADOC... AND THE NIGHTMARE.
I popped over to Toxic Love Affair's guestbook today and found that they are having probems similar to what we've had over the past couple eyars with certain individuals. So, suprise, suprise that when I come here, I am greated with the news that there has been a resurgence of our here in our camp. It's amazing to me that some people can't grow up.
I try to avoid ideological debate because, for the most part, no two humans will ever agree on this. It's an insubstantial thing, like asking how clouds feel. Opinions are like rectums, as they say.... But (no pun intended) some people need to be continually reminded that they have no grasp of reality or of an ideology which does anything more than belittle others and themselves...
When the USA was attacked in 1991, people across the nation banded together for strength, but as is our way, we ultimately fell back into our original sects and cliques because of personal greed.
What? Personal greed, you say? The green eyed monster? Yep. Greed. See, on a person-to-person level, there is no benefit for oneself when working to make life better for a group. This is why clerics become warlords and use religion and ideology as a weapon. It is not for the good of heir people or of the individuals who give of themselves to follow them, it is solely for their own personal gain.
EVEN ON A LOCAL LEVEL -it comes down to this same issue. Who is out only for themselves? These peope tend not to get vey far because the people around them aren't going to support the weight of someone else and expect nothing in return. The cleric warlords, and even our president make promises of reward, be it in this world or the next, but joe shmoe on the street can't make those promises annd make them believable.
The politician wants you to hear his statistics, the cleric will have you take it all on faith.
Others, too, will have you take their word on faith alone without having anything to back it up. People are like that. They expect everything for nothing. They expect respect, yet give none. They expect honesty and have none themselves. They expect to be supported by others while they tear down everyone around them who might support them.
As for Monster, I honestly believe that here is nothing within him worthy of redemption or respect at this point. He is an overgrown child who throws his temper tantrums and blames the world for his own personal and ethical failures and shortcomings. He is a person who will probably never know happiness because his sole aim in life seems to be to make others miserable. He is the small-scale vesion of the warlords overseas and in our own government. He speaks in loops that contradict himself time and again (Bush might call him a flip-flopper) and he does so without regard for his own reputation, let alone with the intention of hurting the reputations of others. He's petty. He wants you to believe his lies and distortions and to take them as gospel because the almighty green one says so. Well, if you want to be a sheep, and ultimately end up as fodder for his arsenal, well, you just go right ahead and have faith in him. If you are wise, however, yoiu can see this person for what he is. It's not difficult.
See, once, I had an issue with him. Once. I could still hold that grudge if I really wanted to, but that would just be energy I've wasted trying to hate someone and not working on bettering myself. I've made my mistakes and moved on, but some people aren't so inclined or capable. Recognizing one's own faults takes a lot of honesty with oneself, but some have spoken the lies so many times that they believe them.
Ultimately, my point is this: faith is for people who wear blindfolds and enjoy it. Facts are available for all and should be the basis behind any good decision -or bad decision, it doesn't matter. Don't place your faith in Enron, who has already proven themslves crooked and deceitful, and don't place faith in a person who has made more enemies than friends. Those people hate him or her for a reason.
Some people are completely blind to the fact that there is a geater word around them full of problems. They are so full of themslves hat they think their problems are all that matter and they set about actively making problems for others. The ripple effect.
If you have a problem, take it elsewhere. If you want to move ahead and live your life in a fashion worth living, more power to you. Just go where your wanted. You've burned any bridge that would take you back to those you've already screwed once.

"If you look around you, you can see that there is a world that has more strife and hatred over ideology, religion, politics, whatever. These things sap at the enjyment one may take from life. The one thing all religions do is prove to the individual that there is far more beyond them than their own internal thouughts and feelings. Look around people. Men are being beheaded and lives are being ruined. Most people, however, are simply too full of themselves as to think that their problems are of the greater importance.
To them, I say: Open your damn eyes."
