Hey Everyone. Yes, the rumors are true! Becky and I are coming home! This time for real. We've already gotten rid of the house here in Buffalo and will be moving in to our new place in Baldwinsville on August 20th. So that means I am looking for 2 things...work...and bass work.
I'm looking for any and all Mobile DJ work I can get so if anyone is in good with any pubs, nightclubs, or strip clubs who need a DJ, send them my way! My email is chrishalen@hotmail.com. I am also taking mobile bookings (weddings etc). I subscribe to Promo Only for the new stuff, and have a huge back library, plus 12 years experience in mobile djing, and 9 plus in radio. Needless to say, I'm a pretty good DJ ;D
As for finding a band. Here is what I am looking for with bass playing... Currently I play bass for The Bailey Quarters here in Buffalo but I put in my notice because of the move. My last gig with the gents is on August 27th at The Tudor Lounge in Buffalo NY, and I recommend any and all to make the trip for a good time and a great show with a lot of great bands playing. www.baileyquarters.com has the information. Back to the bass business...I'm looking for a stress free situation, good musicians, and simple rockin riffs. Open to different styles of music. I've always enjoyed a covers/original mix, but I am getting older, so covers maybe the way to go...MAYBE, depending on the situation. My main goal is playing gigs. My bass heroes are Chris Squire, Gene Simmons, and Michael Anthony. I play with a pick and do some finger picking. I'm a rocker, so for me...pop-rock, hard rock, classic rock...that's always been my stand point, even when I played metal and electronic music...it was always with a rock feel.
So, in short, coming home, looking to play bass and dj.

Favorite Styles: Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Country Rock, Gothic, Metal.
NOTE ON COVER BANDS:
****I've got about 10 cover songs that I would like to use going in the direction of a new cover band....I figured you get like a 4 piece band together...each person picks 10 songs, and you've got 40 to start with!****
Hope to catch a Zadoc show soon once I get back into the scene. I'll talk to you all soon.
