Hey Nightmare folk...just wanted to drop everyone a line that I am coming home! Well, close to home. I have taken a job cohosting the morning show on I100 in Cortland and will be moving to Cortland in the upcoming weeks. I would of already started but my back was broken in a wrestling show and I was almost paralized. I am in a back brace and I just recently stopped walking with a walker. Surgury was hell, but I survived. I start in Cortland on Monday and will be staying with my folks in Syracuse while Becky sells the house in Buffalo and we look for a new one in Cortland.
I am 100 percent a bassist now. My drumming days are over due to nerve damage in my left leg (my kick pedal leg as I am a lefty) so I am selling my drum kit for a drum machine and building an electronic studio at the new place to be my "band" as I am now just a bassist. My singing days are over as I fried my voice screaming over the amps of the last version of Tears End, so I will be doing instrumental music until I get a new band going. Kinda a cross between Atmos/Fear X and Gravewalker. Just bought a new bass amp...300 Watts of POWER. A Beringer amp with a Peavy cab. Nice sound.
Figured I would drop a line to my old friends in the area. The X-Man is coming home!

Hey Nightmare folk...just wanted to drop everyone a line that I am coming home! Good to hear...Welcome back! Jeez! Good to hear you're okay and somewhat recovering. I'm sorry to hear about your injuries. Again, very sorry to hear about your injuries. When I was sixteen I cut my left hand very badly (almost severed a tendon - lucky that I didn't or I'd never be able to play guitar again) it was pure hell not being able to play guitar for over a month. I tried to make due on the keyboards while I healed. I empathise with your dillema. Many people don't realise the damage they can cause by not learning to sing properly. It took me a few years to 'get it', but singers really need to learn to project from the diaphragm and not just by yelling or screaming. My short stint in a Black Sabbath tribute band was hell on my pipes trying to sing the tunes the way the band wanted me too. Good to hear that you're coping with your injuries and look forward to seeing you soon. Drop us a line when you're settled in.

I am sorry to hear about your recent injuries Chris, I too know how it feels to have to recover from an injury. I am left handed and three years ago I broke my left arm tearing the nerves and muscles that control grip and movement. I had to relearn to write, hold a fork, and make a fist. It was a slow recovery but I made it. I have faith that you will do ok too. You are a very strong person. Welcome home, I hope that everything goes well with your move. I also hope we can turn a new chapter and pick up the pieces as friends. I personnally would like that and hope you do would too..

By the way, haven't been on the board in awhile. Things didn't work out in Cortland, but it did make me realize something...I was home...in Buffalo.
So, I am back in Buffalo. Got a new band, and things are going great. Happy Belated Birthday to Lord Z and I hope all is well.

It's a bizarre world you live in there, my friend. There's always something different on your horizon everytime I hear from you...
Regardless, I hope all is going well and that your recoveries from your injuries are making progress.

Yes, I am Bizarro with my reverse "S". Superman is still alive in my world, and I wouldn't have it any other way Good Luck with the 99 Cent show. I would love to see that.
